Five from NEHC Earn All-American Honors

HARTFORD, Conn. - NCAA Division III men's head coaches have recognized the top 30 hockey players in their division by selecting them as CCM Hockey/AHCA All-Americans for 2023-24. Five of those players hail from New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) institutions. 

Hobart College sophomore Tanner Hartman earned First Team accolades while his teammates Ignat Belov and senior forward Artem Buzoverya were named to the second team. Skidmore College had two individuals recognized as Danny Magnuson was named to the First Team defense and goaltender Tate Brandon was honored on the Third Team. 

A first-team All-New England Hockey Conference selection, Hartman is Hobart's sixth first-team All-American. Entering the national semifinals he leads the team with 19 goals, 25 assists, 44 points and five game-winning goals. Hartman, who has played in all 29 games this season, has had 14 multi-point games. He is seventh in the nation in points per game (1.52), 11th in assists per game (0.86) and 11th in goals per game (0.66). 
 
A first-team All-NEHC selection, Belov has played in 28 games this season. He is second on the team with 16 goals and 37 points. Belov also has 21 assists. Belov is 10th in the nation in points per game (1.32), 28th in assists per game (0.75) and 29th in goals per game (0.57). Belov's four game-winning goals this season are 12th in the nation.
 
The 2024 NEHC Player of the Year, Buzoverya has played in all 29 games this season. A captain, he has eight goals 23 assists and 31 points. Buzoverya's 23 helpers are second on the team. He has had 11 multi-point games this season, including a goal and an assist against Skidmore in the NEHC Championship game. He was named the tournament's  Most Outstanding Player, finishing the three-game stretch with two goals and two assists. Buzoverya is 19th in the nation in assists per game (0.79). He has won 324 faceoffs and has a .628 winning percentage in the circle.
 
Buzoverya was also the runner-up for the 2023-24 Sid Watson Award.

Magnuson is Skidmore's first first-team All-American in hockey. A Sunfish Lake, Minnesota native, he was recently named to the All-New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) First Team. The puck-moving defenseman tallied 10 goals and 18 assists in 28 games. He shared the team lead with 28 points and is among the highest-scoring blue-liners in the nation.
 
Brandon, out of Irvington, New York, was the 2024 NEHC Goaltender of the Year in addition to garnering All-NEHC First Team honors. He was 19-5-2 between the pipes for the Thoroughbreds in 2023-24, finishing with a 1.76 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage with four shutouts.
