Thrice as Nice! Hobart Claims Third Straight Crown

UTICA, N.Y.—Junior forward Kahlil Fontana scored with 1:36 remaining in the first overtime to give the top-ranked Hobart hockey team its third consecutive national championship, defeating sixth-ranked Utica 2-1. For his heroics, Fontana was named the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Hobart Defeats to Geneseo to Earn Spot in National Championship

UTICA, N.Y.—The top-ranked Hobart hockey team defeated fourth-ranked Geneseo 2-1 in a national semifinal at the Utica University Nexus Center this afternoon. With the win, the Statesmen are 28-1-1 overall this season and advance to the national championship game for the third straight season.

Four Statesmen Earn All-American Honors

Four members of the top-ranked Hobart Hockey team were named to the 2024-25 CCM/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-America teams today. Graduate student defenseman Austin Mourar and junior forward Tanner Daniels were named to the East first team and junior goalie Damon Beaver and senior forward Luke Aquaro earned East second team recognition.

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Elmira College women's ice hockey team learned who its opponent will be in the First Round of the 2025 DIII women's ice hockey championship, as the Soaring Eagles will travel to No. 8 Plattsburgh State, on Saturday, March 15, for a chance to advance to the Quarterfinals. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Hobart Claims Mariano Cup

GENEVA, N.Y.—For the third straight year, the Mariano Cup will reside in the Hobart Hockey team's locker room. The top-ranked Statesmen defeated Norwich, which was receiving votes in the USCHO.com poll, 5-2 in the final New England Hockey Conference championship game. It was Hobart's fourth NEHC title in seven seasons.
Elmira Earns Back-to-Back NEHC Crown

NORTHFIELD, VT. – Saturday marked the final time that the Mariano Cup would be awarded in New England Hockey Conference action. The No. 2 seed Elmira College Soaring Eagles recorded a 1-0 shutout against the No. 1 seed Norwich University Cadets inside Kreitzberg Arena.
