NEHC Men's Weekly Honors - Week One

MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) announced its weekly awards for games played through Sunday, November 3rd. Albertus Magnus sophomore Kyle Dann (Windham, N.H.) was tabbed Player of the Week. Elmira‘s Brody Haynes (York, Pa.) was selected Goaltender of the Week while Salve Regina’s Arvega Hovsepyan (Glendale, Calif.) garnered Rookie of the Week honors.

Player of the Week

Kyle Dann – Albertus Magnus College
(Sophomore, Forward – Windham, N.H.)
Dann had a hand in three of Albertus’ four goals on Saturday. The sophomore forward tallied a goal of his own before tacking on two assists to lead the falcons to a 4-0 victory over JWU.

Goaltender of the Week

Brody Haynes – Elmira College
(Junior, Goaltender - York, Pa.)
Haynes made his first start of the season on Saturday against Oswego State and recorded his first career shutout in a 0-0 tie. Haynes recorded 35 saves in the contest to help secure the eventual tie against the Lakers.

Rookie of the Week

 

Arvega Hovsepyan - Salve Regina University
(Freshman, Forward - Glendale, Calif.)
Hovsepyan led the team to a 6-2 win over Salem State University on Friday. The freshman forward tallied four total points on one goal and three assists.

 

HONOR ROLL

Tanner Daniels – Hobart College
(Junior, Forward - Edinboro, Pa.)
Daniels had three points in a 2-0-0 week for Hobart to start the season. The Edinboro, Pa., native had an assist on Friday night as the Statesmen knocked off Oswego, which was receiving votes in the USCHO.com poll, 5-2. Against Potsdam, Daniels scored twice. One of his two goals was a shorthanded tally.

Wyatt George – Babson College
(Senior, Forward - Mount Lebanon, Pa.)
George opened the season with a pair of goals to help Babson open the season with a 5-4 victory over No. 11 Plymouth State in Saturday's season opener. He scored on the power play to give the Beavers the lead late in the second period and tallied his second goal just over eight minutes into the third period to take another one-goal advantage.

Joshua Seeley - Skidmore College
(Junior, Goaltender - Detroit, Mich.)
Seeley, in his first game in a Skidmore uniform, made 22 saves in a 3-0 shutout victory over Wentworth on Saturday, helping the Thoroughbreds start the season with a win. Seeley was particularly strong in the first period, stopping 11 shots to keep the game scoreless before Skidmore broke through in the second. His consistent performance, including five saves in the second and six in the third, secured the win and earned him his first shutout of the season.
